We were hired by producer Michael Gleason to manage the entire post-production process for this new 8-part series for Channel 4, from the same team who make Live From Abbey Road. Our responsibilities involved editing the entire show on Adobe Premiere CS6 for the first time, carrying out on-set DIT duties and managing the grading & onlining process.
For the company it’s been a massive achievement to deliver a major series like this on budget and on schedule, all within a 2-month timescale from first shoot date to final delivery of the finished masters to Channel 4. Attending every shoot meant we were able to liaise with director Matthew Amos and his camera crew, providing instant feedback and the ability for to review the rushes as they were coming off the camera.
Highlights of the series for us included a powerful final performance by The Civil Wars, Biffy Clyro’s energetic set, a single shot experiment with Django Django, Jake Bugg’s brilliant skiffle-rock and First Aid Kit’s stunning cover of a Paul Simon classic.
